A Child Called It
I recommend that junior high students will like the book, A Child Called It, by Dave Pelzer. A Child Called It is about a little boy named David who his mom beats him. His mom feeds him leftovers from their food. He has two older brothers and one younger brother. His mom only makes him clean the whole house. He only has one pair of clothes and it is dirty and ripped up. From this book, you could learn not to be mean to any of your kids. Also, if you are a kid, you could learn to appreciate your parents. The other books about David are The Lost Boy and A Man Named David.

This book is a sad, heart wrenching book. I can't believe that someone would beat and torture their children like that. I hope that no parents ever do anything like that again.

It's sad that any parent could abuse their child like that! I hope no one will ever put their child through that again! Ever!
It's a pretty good book though.

It's really sad that parents could do that to their child! I feel sorry for the person that had to go through this! I couldn't do it.

This book sounds like a horrible life journey. It sounds like this young boy, David, has been horribly mistreated and horribly cared for. Let's hope nothing like this happens again.
